Calm Seas As Cardinals Take Flight
On a chilly nautical-themed Friday night at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium, the Hamilton Cardinals delivered an impressive performance against the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers, extending their strong start to the season in front of an energized home crowd.
The Cardinals wasted no time getting on the board in the opening inning. Anderson Feliz made an immediate impact in his first at-bat of the night, ripping a single to spark the Hamilton offense. Moments later, Tyler Duncan crossed the plate on a wild pitch from the Barnstormers, giving the Cardinals early momentum.
Hamilton continued to control the game offensively, keeping pressure on Chatham-Kent throughout the night with timely hitting and consistent production at the plate. The Cardinals’ bats stayed hot as they powered their way to a dominant 9-run performance to secure the victory.
On the mound, Freesias Adames delivered the standout performance of the night. The right-hander was lights out through six shutout innings, recording seven strikeouts while allowing zero runs in a commanding outing. Hamilton’s bullpen continued the strong effort late in the game, as Jacob Gajic, Caleb Seroski, and Chris Boatto combined to shut the door and preserve the win.
